Love is in the air
It's 2011 and oh my goodness:
its February already. Love, love, love, please!!
Well we're certainly spreading it around. Launching our shiny new Facebook page is more information on all the love in our atmosphere:
A Love Birds accommodation offer for every weekend in February.
Café Harambee's sumptious oh so attractively priced dinner Valentine's Menu available for the week of February 14th... just stretching it a little but we like to do that here!
On the 27th of February we sponsor a fundraiser breakfast for St Anne's Home for Destitute and Abused Women and Children, as well as music and poetry will also be in the air.

Through our Doors
We welcome so many special and lovely people at iKhaya Lodge and renowned author, editor, broadcaster and publisher Margaret Busby OBE is our first featured guest.
Margaret is a divinely gifted, humble and inspirational person who urged me to write again. My love affair with the written word languished abandoned and the written word longs to be written.
This month of love it seems apt to celebrate one who has worked so tirelessly at ensuring the Written Word flourishes.
Brava Margaret!

Meet the team...
Rennie - Housekeeping Supervisor
Rennie, our housekeeping supervisor, has been at iKhaya since the doors first opened just over 10 years ago.
A lovely spirit, she flows through the chores of ensuring our guests and rooms are immaculate with the same love and dedication of her first day.
Dearly loved and appreciated by guests and colleagues we celebrate Rennie who makes love visible in her work!

Looking forward
Cape Town is an amazing place to be and even more so in the first quarter of the year.
Each New Year starts with Cape Minstrals in the downtown streets which follow the bustling night markets around Christmas time under the embrace of festival street lighting. And as though the Amore in February is not enough, in March the Cape Argus Pick n' Pay Cylce Tour (the largest timed cycling event in the world) draws over 35000 avid cyclists to our beautiful vistas.
Our grand finale for the quarter, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, draws musical giants to our shores for two heady days of a jazz musical extravaganza. This year, acclaimed saxophonist Wayne Shorter is featured!
So there you are, spoiled for choice for reasons to visit us and enjoy our warm hospitality.
See you again soon!
